Restaurants in Benalmadena
Similar to all Spanish destinations, Benalmadena offers traditional Spanish dishes in many tapas bars dotted around the resort. There’s also a lot of typical English food in their many fast food outlets. However they do also have their own delicacies. The varied local cuisine reflects the geographical diversity of the region. Benalmadena shares its food preferences with other resorts in the Costa del Sol. All locals living here love their tapas, a mini sized snack that comes in all different varieties. Holidaymakers are encouraged to give tapas a try to explore the enormous variety on offer.
Night Life in Benalmadena
Benalmadena becomes very lively at night and you will find that there is plenty to keep you occupied. If you head towards the main coastal road you will find that there are numerous bars, pubs and cafes – most of which have live entertainment throughout the night such as singers, musicians and of course Karaoke! If you are looking for somewhere even busier then a take a visit to the Marina where there are some delightful restaurants as well as nightclubs and salsa bars. If you want to stay out until the sun rises then go to the area known as 24 hour square where there is a large selection of discos and bars. For a different kind of night, there is a large casino at Torrequebrada where you can try a selection of games.
Activities in Benalmadena
Benalmadena has plenty to keep its visitors entertained and is also a popular golfing destination. The brilliant year round climate means that it is possible to enjoy most of the activities throughout the year! Children will love the aqua park with its fantastic water chutes and lazy rivers and the theme parks and zoo’s, whilst adults will enjoy the jeep safaris, mountain biking and wind surfing. There is a large choice of water sports available such as jet skiing, banana boat rides, parasailing, scuba diving and sailing lessons. The Archaeological Museum is Benalmadena’s finest museum, which displays a collection of Neolithic and pre-Columbian artefacts from around Andalusia. Many visitors come to the museum especially to see the beautiful marble floor that was recovered from a ship that went down just off the coast in the 1800s.
