Holidays To Costa del sol

The Costa Del Sol in mainland Spain is one of Europe’s most favoured year-round holiday destinations. With 300 days of sunshine a year and an annual average temperature of 18ºC it is easy to understand why! Families, couples and groups head to the Costa Del Sol year after year for holidays filled with sun, sea and sand. The Costa Del Sol is often referred to as the “Playground of Europe” as it really does have something for everyone! From sandy beaches, lively resorts with a fantastic nightlife and family orientated resorts to plenty of culture in many of the inland resorts. Popular holiday resorts in the Costa Del Sol include Benalmadena, Fuengirola, Marbella and Torremolinos. We offer a fantastic variety of accommodation in the Costa Del Sol, so why not take a look at our amazing holiday offers and last minute deals to so that you can soon be enjoying a holiday to the brilliant resorts in the Costa Del Sol at a bargain price? Whether you visit the Costa Del Sol for your family holidays, a romantic break or a group trip, you are sure to have the ideal Spanish holiday.

The best introduction to Costa Del Sol cooking is to visit a tapas bar where small portions of traditional cuisine can be sampled either seated or standing at the bar. These tasty snacks can be hot or cold. Some tapas bars can have as many as 40 different meals on offer. If you want a larger portion than the usual tapa (which is literally just a nibble), then you should ask for a racion. Meal times are late in Costa Del Sol, 2-3pm for the comida, or midday meal, which for the Spanish is the main meal of the day, then 9-10pm for the cena, evening meal. Excellent seafood is to be found throughout the Costa del Sol, notably pescada al sal (baked salt fish) and for aperitif drinks, try Fino Quinto or Moriles. If trying out the local cuisine doesn’t really appeal to you don’t worry, as there are plenty of other restaurants that serve food from all around the world as well fast food chains.

Costa Del Sol nightlife has something for everyone. From huge nightclubs that are open until sunrise, sophisticated cocktail bars, theme bubs and family entertainment to Flamenco dance shows and Casinos. For a stylish and upmarket night out head to Marbella, which has plenty of upmarket restaurants and cocktail bars for you to choose from. Torremolinos and Benalmadena are famous for their thriving nightclubs and bars, the atmosphere is amazing. For those that like a more laid back night out you will find plenty of smaller bars and pubs that offer a relaxing place to sit back and enjoy the holiday experience. Many places also offer live shows such as flamenco and traditional music from the area. For those that like a bit of a gamble you wil find that there are casinos located near the coast of Benalmadena. Most hotels also have their own bars and evening entertainment team, so if you don’t fancy a night on the town you can still have fun!

The Costa Del Sol has plenty to keep its visitors amused throughout the day! The beaches are fantastic with golden sands and a large selection of water sports available for the more active. If you don’t fancy spending all of your time on the beach then there are plenty of other places to see. Almost every community has a festival - there are over 3,000 fiestas in the region every year and they include religious festivals, dance festivals, wine festivals, food fairs, bullfighting fiestas and mock battles. Art lovers will be keen to visit the Picasso Gallery that is located in Malaga. Ferry trips are also available to Gibraltar and Morocco as well as tours around the stunning coast of the Costa Del Sol. Golf enthusiasts will be in their element as there are some world-class golf courses available throughout Costa Del Sol. There are also a few water parks with huge chutes and flumes that make a perfect day out for people of all ages – especially families. With so much on offer, a holiday to the Costa Del Sol is a must!
