Benidorm restaurants have so much to offer weather you are looking for traditional Spanish or your favourite Sunday lunch. Benidorm is one of the biggest nightspots in Spain, with something to suit all tastes. The young and lively tend to head towards 'the Square' in the New Town where you will find nightclubs like Cafe Benidorm and the Hippodrome. There are more clubs up towards Levante Beach, but serious clubbers will find exactly what they are looking for at the larger clubs like Ku, KM, Champions (formerly Pacha), El Divino, Penelopes and Space.
Activities in Benidorm
Benidorm's major attractions are its spectacular sandy beaches and fantastic climate. There are two huge sweeping crescents that stretch for over three miles (5km), these are known as Levante and Poniente - Spanish for sunrise and sunset. The beaches are kept spotless and are constantly being voted among the cleanest and most popular beaches in Europe. The energetic can try out all sorts of water sports on the beaches from swimming and diving off of the man-made rafts to jet skiing, banana boat rides, parasailing and scuba diving. On the outskirts of town tourists can visit the fun water parks or “Terra Mitica”, Spain's largest theme park with Europe’s biggest wooden roller coaster. There are also loads of options for those wishing to leave Benidorm for a day; beautiful mountainous countryside surrounds the resort and jeep safaris and cycle trips around this charming area are becoming increasingly popular. Other good days trips include a coach trip to the ancient mountain fortress at Guadalest, built by the Moors in 715, and the town of Altea with its delightful medieval cobbled streets and beautiful Mediterranean views, eight miles (13km) north of Benidorm.
