Most of the restaurants on the island serve delicious and fresh seafood and fish, which is a large part of the Tunisian diet. Couscous is also another popular dish and is made from semolina grains mixed with spices. The architecture style found in the excavation site of Gightis marks the influences of Greek, Egyptian and Punic. The remains that are found in the excavation site belong to the 2nd century.
