Activities in Limassol
Limassol is the second largest city in Cyprus and you will never run out of things to do on your holiday if you tire of the beach! Its excellent location between the two historic towns of Amathus and Kourion mean that there are a lot of interesting sights to see! Kourion is home to large and amazing ancient Amphitheatre where live shoes are still performed as well as the remains of baths and sacred temples to Greek Gods. Kolossi Castle is located just outside of Limassol and it is a brilliant example of 13th century military architecture, steeped in history this castle has been under the control of the Knights of Jerusalem, the Genoese and the Knights Templar. The fantastic water park, Fasouri Watermania, is a great day out for people of all ages and there are plenty of chutes and pools too keep you entertained! Of course the beaches are a major attraction for people staying in Limassol and there are plenty of water sports on offer for guests to try!.
