Restaurants in Puerto del Carmen
Puerto del Carmen is home to hundreds of restaurants and cafes as well as pubs and bars that serve food. You will find that most restaurants are located on the strip and they serve tempting food from around the world. It’s easy to find somewhere that suits everyone’s taste, from English Breakfasts to Chinese, Indian, Mexican, Italian French and Spanish. There is also a McDonalds in the resort as well. For a more refined dining experience head towards the harbour in the Old Town although some of the restaurants there do require reservations.
Night Life in Puerto del Carmen
Puerto del Carmen is the liveliest place when it comes to nightlife in Lanzarote. Of an evening the population of the resort increases and the resort springs to life as the bars and clubs open for business. A lot of the bars and clubs are located along the strip and there is something to suit everyone, from English, Scottish and Irish Pubs to exclusive cocktail bars. When it comes to going to a nightclub, Hippodrome and Caesars are popular choices. There are also several live music venues and karaoke bars scattered throughout the resort, which make a great place to start your night!
Activities in Puerto del Carmen
There are plenty of things to see and do throughout your holiday in Puerto del Carmen. As always there are plenty of water sports available on the beach for the more active beach goer. Deep-sea fishing trips are also a popular choice amongst visitors. If you want to leave the resort for a while, head to Timanfaya National Park where you can take in the spectacular Luna like volcanic landscapes. Another interesting place to visit is the Cactus Garden, an intriguing attraction that combines nature and art in an old quarry. Boat trips and submarine tours can also be organised from Puerto Calero, which is just outside Puerto del Carmen. Catamarans sail along the spectacular coast and drop anchor by one of the stunning white-sand beaches at the south of the island as well as offering snorkelling equipment and lunch. Some boats also offer free jet-ski rides. Visitors can also take the Submarine Safari from Puerto Calero for a thrilling close-up view of the island’s underwater world. With so much on offer, a holiday to Puerto del Carmen has something for everyone.
