Restaurants in Playa Blanca
Playa Blanca caters to all tastes when it comes to food and there is a large choice of restaurants and cafes lining the main Promenade that offer beautiful views of the sparkling sea and the twinkling lights of Fuerteventura. You will find restaurants that serve Chinese, Italian, Seafood, International and local dishes. Please note that some restaurants may not accept credit cards. "Tapas" meaning small portions, can be found in most Lanzarote bars, restaurants and cafes. Tapas gives you the opportunity to try more than one dish at a time. Fish and seafood are a big part of the Canarian diet and it is delivered fresh daily to the various ports around Lanzarote. Local fish such as Sama, Bacalao or Lenguado are popular and these can be cooked in a variety of ways: baked in salt, "a la plancha", grilled no batter or breaded.
Night Life in Playa Blanca
The nightlife in Playa Blanca is fairly laid back and most of the entertainment is restricted to the shows organised by the hotels. There are a few bars that line the promenade that stay open until quite late, but if you fancy a really big night out on the town, then head to Puerto del Carmen where you will find plenty of lively bars, clubs, pubs and discos, which is half an hour away by car.
Activities in Playa Blanca
There are plenty of things to do and see in Playa Blanca so you will never be bored. The beaches are stunning and provide the perfect place to just relax and soak up the sun. For the more active, water sports such as parasailing, jet skiing and banana boat rides are also available at the beach. There are also regular boat trips that will take you to the beautiful Papagayo Beaches, which are incredibly hard to reach by car or on foot. A visit to the Timanfaya National park is a must and it is only 16km away from the resort. A the Timanfaya National Park you can take in the spectacular views of the Luna like volcanic landscape and even enjoy a camel ride. Another popular day trip for people staying in Playa Blanca is to jump on a boat to the nearby island of Fuerteventura which is just 10km away. With so much to see and do, a holiday to Playa Blanca has something to suit everyone.
