Activities in Costa Calma

Costa Calma is popular with families and beach lovers as the sand is soft and golden and the water is bright blue and calm. Water sports are available at the beach such as wind surfing, kite surfing and surfing. A popular day trip is a boat ride to the nearby island of Los Lobos where you can relax in the sun on an almost deserted island. One of the main excursions that you can also try is the Baku water park, which is in Corralejo and is very popular amongst children and groups of friends. Trips into Corralejo are ideal if you want to see a busier resort and it is where you can get a ferry to nearby Lanzarote. Another great day out for site seeing is to catch a bus to pretty Pajara with its ornate 17th century church or to Betancuria, the former capital. Or for sightseeing of a showier kind, go and see the wreck of a commercial American ship in a tiny bay on the west coast – its rusting hulk a heart-lurching contrast to the beauty around it.
