Developed in the 1960’s around a small village, Santo Ponsa has since grown and grown into a large, popular holiday resort. The long sweeping bay of Santa Ponsa boasts 3 beaches and the main beach has been boosted with artificial sand to accommodate the growing numbers of tourists. Santa Ponsa beach is perfect for families as the water is clean, crystal clear, shallow and warm.

Prices in the restaurants and cafes can vary, but a lot of them do offer excellent value for money so it is easy to find somewhere to eat within any budget. Santa Ponsa has numerous restaurants and cafes that all serve a wide range of food from local dishes to international cuisine. Many local supermarkets now also stock UK branded goods for those tourists that are staying in self-catering apartments.

Night Life

Of an evening, Santa Ponsa really comes to life with the opening of many bars, pubs and restaurants, although it is nowhere near as busy as its neighbours Magaluf and Palma Nova. Many bars and pubs have their own live music and cater for families. There are also a few discos and clubs in the resort for those that like to dance the night away!

Activities

There are plenty of activities to keep you entertained if you want to leave the beach. Boasting brilliant golf courses as well as tennis courts and horse riding there is something to suit everyone. You can also enjoy a boat trip around the coastline and they regularly stop so that you can take a refreshing dip in the sea. “Aqualand” in Magaluf is a great water park that adults and children alike will love with its huge slides and pools.
