Holidays to Alcudia are fun for people of all ages as there is something for everyone to enjoy. The excellent day trips available and its close proximity to other resorts on the island make it the perfect holiday base for those that want to explore and see all that Majorca has to offer! The beaches in Alcudia are also extremely beautiful and stretch for miles perfect for those that love to spend long lazy days soaking up the sun.
There are plenty of places to eat in Alcudia and restaurants serve various cuisines from around the world such as international dishes and Italian meals. Some restaurants offer great value for money whilst others located in the Port area are cosmopolitan and a bit more expensive. Fish dishes are very popular and the freshness is unrivalled. If you are looking for somewhere more upmarket to eat then head towards the port area, where diners can find some decent Spanish, French and seafood restaurants within a lovely harbour setting. Many hotels also have their own restaurants and snack bars that are open throughout the day and night for those that dont feel like venturing out of their hotel!
There are many bars to be found in Alcudia that offer a selection of international brand drinks and local beverages. The bars are open quite late into the night but most of the nightclubs can be found in the larger hotels that are open to the public. Most hotels also have their own entertainment team that provide live entertainment of an evening such as folk dances and karaoke. Many hotels also offer a babysitting service so that if you do fancy a night out, your children will be looked after until you get home! Alcudia is also home to many British themed pubs, and most of them show a lot of sport and important football matches so that you can keep up with the latest scores.
Most activitis in Alcudia are centres around the long sandy beach that fronts the resort. You will bea ble to enjoy many fun water sports such as jet skiing, banana boat rides, parasailing and scuba diving. Why not arrange a noat trip to the beautiful Formentor Promontory where you can discover the marine life whilst snorkkeling or just relax in the sun taking in the stunning views? Other attractions nearby include the livley water park with huge water slides, a go-kart track and horse riding. Tennis and squash courts can also be found within the resort if you fancy a change from water sports. If you want to take in some of the culture of the island then it is worth a visit to Alcudia Old Town and the mountain village of Lluc.
